Peter Aldred is Senior Lecturer and Head of Food Science and Brewing at the University of Ballarat. He has a PhD in Biochemistry, a Diploma of Brewing from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, and has a number of years experience in both brewing and medical research. He is an accredited trainer for the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. He is also head brewer at the University's microbrewery.
Peter spent a number of years as Chief Steward of the Australian International Beer Awards, and has judged at the World Beer Cup, Great American Beer Festival and the Australian International Beer Awards.
Peter was a great speaker at ANHC Three, and he's back once again in 2014 deliver some of the most complex brewing concepts in his accessible and approachable style.
